KATE Bosworth baru saja diangkat menjadi model baru dari Calvin Klein Jeans. Wajah cantik aktris Hollywood ini kemudian diabadikan dalam sesi pemotretan oleh David Sims di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat.

Terlihat dengan gambar hitam dan putih, Bosworth tampil cantik dengan busana mantel metalik dan celana jeans putih. Sekilas terlihat sederhana namun kesannya sangat muda dan stylish.

Seperti dilansir Female First, Kamis (10/1/2008), label ternama ini memilih supermodel Kate Moss untuk menjadi modelnya pada tahun 1992.

Kevin Carrigan, Creative Director Calvin Klein Jeans mengatakan, Kate Bosworth sangat sempurna untuk kampanye terbaru mereka.

“Dia adalah kecantikan sesungguhnya orang Amerika. Kemurnian gaya dan sensualitasnya terlihat sangat sempurna dan natural. Dia juga terlihat modern dengan koleksi Calvin Klein Jeans,” ujar Carrigan mengomentari pemilik mata coklat dan biru ini.

“Untuk menjadi model dalam kampanye Calvin Klein Jeans, dengan sejarah dan kebesarannya tentu membuat saya tersanjung,” ujar Bosworth.

He and his brothers got to play a private baseball game with their friends at LA’s Dodger Stadium. “[Kevin, Joe and Nick] rented out the stadium last night to play a baseball game with some friends,” an insider tells E! News. And money was clearly no expense, as the boys shelled out upward of $30,000 for the less than three-hour game. Renting the field starts at $25,000, lights are $5,000, and food, drinks and music run around $1,000. But hey, you only turn 16 once, right?

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, 22, have spent their whole lives in synch, and together created their clothing lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James, but an insider says their work ethics don’t match anymore — causing a serious rift in their relationship. “Ashley really wants to be a respected businesswoman and be taken seriously,” says the pal. “MK does too, but she hasn’t been willing to give up her lifestyle and act like an adult for their job.

” So Ashley has taken a drastic step: distancing her twin from the couture end of their joint fashion empire. “Ashley came to a difficult decision. She decided that MK should not be involved with The Row,” says the insider. “She asked her sister to step back from her current responsibilities until she has her personal life together.” Instead, MK will focus on their more affordable line, Elizabeth and James, for which their roles were always less hands-on. “It’s tough because The Row was so much of Mary-Kate’s idea,” says the insider. “Mary-Kate has a unique fashion sense,” notes an insider. “I just see myself more as a businessperson,” Ashley says.

Irina Lazareanu, the Romania-born and Canada-raised current queen of the catwalk, is ecstatic. “I am so happy! I just bought this amazing portrait of Johnny [Cash] and June Carter,” she squeals. Before any questions can be squeezed in, she continues with a stream-of-consciousness monologue: “Are you coming to Paris? Sean [Lennon] and I are performing. Then I’m in London with Kate [Moss] and her Topshop deal. And, oh, this is some major scoop: I got the rights to Bob Dylan’s ‘Girl from the North Country,’ and Pete [Doherty] and Sean are going to record it for my album.” She takes a deep breath. “I just cannot wait to record my album.”

This raw energy and gusto for life are the hallmarks of Lazareanu’s career, both in front of the camera and in music. Says Milla Jovovich, the actress and designer who has cast Lazareanu the past three seasons: “She’s a wild Claudette Colbert, full of energy and excitement.”

She settles down to discuss her industry beginnings. “I went to the Royal Academy in London to study ballet,” she says. “And that’s where I met Pete [Doherty].” After writing and playing music with the Libertines and the BabyShambles, fashion beckoned: Nicolas Ghesquière designed her stage costumes, Karl Lagerfeld had her open the Chanel couture show, and Kate Moss cast her in a story for the French Vogue issue she edited. “When I came to New York,” Lazareanu remembers, “my first meeting was with Steven Meisel.” The result was a cyber–rock ‘n’ roll Italian Vogue cover, with Lazareanu playing the part of the bohemian-wild-child rock star. “Which is what I’m all about,” she says with a sigh. “That’s still my favorite story.”

Twoggy, Peggy Moffit, Kate Moss, adalah beberapa di antara model yang berhasil menjadi icon style dan menjadi bagian dari esensi cool ala Inggris.

Model Inggris terbaru yang memegang semua kualitas ini adalah Agyness Deyn, asal Manchester. Gadis berambut pirang ini memiliki kredibilitas dan gaya yang sesuai berbagai macam rancangan. Sudah beberapa musim ia melakukan hal ini, namun namanya baru meledak akhir-akhir ini.

Deyn menghabiskan usia remaja dengan bekerja di toko keripik. Kini ia menjadi emblem dari street style dan ikon bagi generasi muda yang menciptakan penampilan mereka sendiri, dan mengekspresikan diri melalui pakaian.

Sebuah perusahaan manekin asal Inggris, Rootstein Mannequins, membuat versi manekin Deyn lima tahun lalu. Mereka memutuskan membuat manekinnya setelah melihat Deyn dalam sebuah sesi foto.

“Ia seorang individu dengan style hebat,” kata Kevin Arpino, direktur kreatif Rootstein, dalam perayaan manekin Agyness Deyn di New York.

Pesona Deyn, lanjut Arpino, terletak pada sifatnya yang membumi dan apa adanya. Gadis berusia 25 itu adalah orang yang menyenangkan untuk diajak bekerja dan selalu tepat waktu.

“Ia bahkan menawarkan secangkir teh pada saya,” tandas Arpino.

Saat ini, Deyn merupakan wajah dari kampanye Burberry dan Giorgio Armani, serta House of Holland – label yang ia buat bersama kawannya, Henry Holland.
